I can explain the races, but I’m still workshopping the classes. So, the necromancer’s assistant uses a now forbidden magic (Chameleon spell) to sneak into the bakery and steal the sweets to keep the monster under control. Investigating the town and near by area reveals a necromancer’s latest creation has a sweet tooth and can only be controlled by providing it with treats. No matter when the baker makes his wares, they are immediately stolen. ![]() Serious version idea: The local bakery keeps getting robbed, but only the freshly baked sweets are taken. (Optional the mini guild is actually a training program for the actual Thieves Guild and could be how your players join or make allies / enemies of them). While some are calling for harsh punishment (“in my day, if you got caught stealing, you lost your hand! That’s the trouble with kids these days, no real discipline!”), others just want the the kids to find some other way of entertaining themselves. “Silly” version idea: a group of kids have decided to form their own version of the Thieves Guild and are running around town stealing sweets and trinkets from local vendors. You need at least one quest where your players have to figure out who is stealing sweet rolls! It can be as silly or as serious as you want.
